Product life cycle
ASEM adopts a 12-year Product Life Cycle (PLC) for its products. During this time period, repair and support are guaranteed from the release of a product and up to 5 years from the effective End of Life (EoL) date.
The duration of each of the 4 life phases of a product has been chosen from a service optimization perspective to fully meet the needs of end users.

"Active" status
Phase starting from product release, during which the product represents the best and current offering in its product category.
Duration: 5 years.

"Active mature" status
Stage where the product is fully supported, but newer products or product families exist at the same time. The sales value of the product is declining.
Duration: 2 years.

"End of Life" status
Phase beginning with End of Life (EoL) notification during which Last Time Buy (LTB) and Last Buy Shipment (LTS) dates are known. From the effective date of End of Life starts the final 5 years of support and repair of a product.
Duration: 1 year.

"Discontinued" status
Phase in which no new systems are produced and shipped, but support and repair time is guaranteed.
Duration: 4 years.
